An Orthodox Fanatics Interpretation of Orthodoxy
- Dear All
One Orthodox fanatic based in USA continuously writing about orthodoxy in an ICON forum and he pleads for unity in the Malankara church in the name of orthodoxy and also he keeps attacking our Shresta Catholica Bawa(no orthodoxy), and also comparing Malankara church with other "native" churches based in sub-Saharan Africa and the Balkans.
But how dare he challenges the orthodoxy of SOC and its long-historical tradition in rituals and believes that continues till today right from the beginning of the Christendom while Malankara Orthodox Church has stolen the Orthodoxy from the SOC.
In fact he is absolutely right about his comparing of Malankara Orthodox Church with Sub-Saharan native orthodox churches like Ethiopian, Eritrean, and also Armenian Churches as they formed as independent church along with political changes in that country ie, one break-away state created its own independent Church (the best example is Ukrain-Russian Orthodox Church dispute). Similarly in Ethiopia there are three Patriarchs, one by the Coptics and another two are for the two factions of the break-away groups of the "native"
And many of this disputes happened not for orthodoxy but for power, money and glory similar like the way Malankara Orthodox Church was formed in 1912. But I hope the division of this African Churches may have influenced the forefathers of the MOSC and the current fanasists are still pursuing the same believes.
He also takes the example of unity of these orthodox groups and says Malankra Sabha has to follow the same method in the name of orthodoxy. But the unity in that country was formed when some of them became very week economically as well as politically so that they formed a union, not merging one with another, for the purpose of existence importantly for political support. In these countries continued political violence is the norm of the present system and each orthodox group support its own political faction, when one political group becomes week it joined with another one for fighting against a larger one so for the Orthodox church in that country. When one government is overthrown by another political group they appoint a new Patriarch.
So I humbly request u don't compare SOC with the Churches of these politically volatile nations and they don't have any tradition in Orthodoxy except few like the Coptics.
