      Aluva: The district administration and the police have decided to step up security and surveillance at Thrikkunnathu seminary, Aluva, following the failure of discussions held between representatives of Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Church and Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

      Inspector General of Police, Ernakulam Range, Vinson M. Paul told that no breach of law and order situation would be allowed during these days.

      With the meeting failing to reach any consensus, the District Collector has been entrusted to evolve a decision regarding the conduct of the festival.

      A meeting between representatives of both the Churches, is being convened by the Kerala Chief Minister today at 8:30 PM at his chamber. Home Minister Kodiyari Balakrishnan will also participate in the meeting.

      Jacobite Church will represent by Mor Gregorios Joseph, the secretary of the Holy Synod and Secretary Thambu George Thukalan.
