    Mrs. Ealiamma John Edappangat (78), the retired AEO of Ernakulam School district and an active member of St.Thomas Syrian Orthodox Church in Baltimore,MD and St.Mary's Syrian Orthodox Church in California has passed away on Friday July 12th in Califonia, USA.

    The funeral will be held in California on Saturday,July 20th. She is survived be her beloved husband Mr.O.I.John ,Edappangat Mulanthuruthy( the retired Manager of Central Bank of India) and loving children Mr. Rekesh John(california),the son and daughters Dr.Rekha Mathew(Baltimore) and Mrs. Remi Manoj(Calcutta). Mr.Mathew Areekal(Baltimore), Mr.Manoj Jacob(Calcutta) and Mrs.Neena Rekesh(California) are her in-laws.

    On Saturday,July 20th,the wake service begins at 9:00 AM followed by the funeral service. Rev.Fr.Thomas Kora Pulpparayil, the vicar of California St.Mary's parish will lead the funeral service.

    Late Ealiamma John started her career as a high school teacher in the Department of Kerala State School Education and was headmistress in the government high schools located in Muppathadam, Vazhakulam and Kuttamassery. She was an outstanding leader of Scout and Guides organization and served as district commissioner. Later she migrated to US to join her son and daughter. She will be deeply missed and remembered forever as a loving wife,caring mom and grandma,devoted and firm believer of our Lord Jesus Christ.
