      That's all your list owner was urging you to do. (Re-read her post.)

      If you hit "reply" to a post that says only "roll call" then that's what
      your "new" subject line says, too.

      And that's bad. Everyone on the list has to open it to find out what
      it's about. (Some people are too busy to read every post and will delete
      it!)

      And -- when your post is archived - it will not have "your" SURNAME in
      the subject line -- and no one will ever find it.

      (Reading archived list messages on any mailing list is a dandy way to
      find out what's been posted in the past.)
