      Hello Dorothy,
HJ means Honestus Iuvenus; = legitimate born young man
HV means Honesta Virgine; = legitimate born virgin
      The rest you already have.
If not HJ/HV, then it says Honestus Viduus = widower, or Honesta Vidua = widow

      Regards,
      Vladimir

      Hi Folks,
I forgot to mention the notations found on the marriage records.
Before the Grooms name is written HJ and before the Brides name is
      written HV.
Does anyone know what these mean?
      Thanks
      Dorothy
