      Gerchel is Hrcel (with a small "v" over the "c", making it pronounced
      like English "ch"), located maybe 25 kilometers NW of Kralovsky Chlmec.
      This is in the extreme SE corner of Slovakia, close to the borders with
      Ukraine and Hungary.
