Distance from Kapusany to Fulianka is about 4 to 5 km, (2 1/2 to 3 mi).

My family was Greek Catholic and all my records are in Fulianka – which is actually where my great grandfather Stephan RAGYAK was born. I have his birth cert and his marriage cert (married a girl from Orlov which seems so far away, have no idea how they got together). Anyway, they married in the GC church in Fulianka and I have his parents’ names. Interestingly enough I have gone through EVERY page of the church books and saved each page containing either a Fedor or a Ragyak (Hungarian spelling of my name). My G-grandfather born in 1879 – I have found his record in the books and his parents are Anna Fedor and Michael Ragyak. Here’s the interesting part – almost 1 year before my gg was born there is a marriage of an Anna Fedor, but to an Andrew Ragyak ( who is twice her age and widowed). I have searched and searched for any other marriage of an Anna Fedor or Michael Ragyak, but no luck. And there are lots of Ragyak’s from 1822 til the
records end in 1888. Then I find a death record for a Michael Ragyak at the time I believe he died (1888), but his says his spouse was Maria. So I am stuck a little for now. But I still need to transcribe all the records into a spreadsheet and see if I can make sense some other way, like with house numbers, etc…

All I know is that my ggrandparents married in Kapusany in 1901 (I have the cert) and she was alive and living with them and then died within a year and they then moved to the US.

Thanks so much for your help.

      Julie

I can't find the path to these (apparently) online church records. Anyone know where they are hidden? What's the path?
