      The Genealogical Committee of the Western Reserve Historical Society invites you to attend a seminar, “Finding Your Czech-Slovak Roots,” Saturday March 31, 2012 from 9 am-3 pm at the Western Reserve Historical Society History Center in University Circle, Norton Gallery, 10825 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106.

      John Sabol--author of the books Cleveland Slovaks, Cleveland Czechs and Cleveland's Buckeye Neighborhood--will present two morning sessions on the history of the Slovak and Czech communities in Cleveland and tips on finding your ancestral village. The afternoon session will feature roundtable discussions where participants can share their specific search experiences and challenges, particularly regarding research in the Slovak and Czech Republics. Roundtables will be moderated by members of the Czechoslovak Genealogical Society.
