Denise Gresh, I look forward to getting to know you! Am still not sure of the ancestral village of My Gresh family. I just know they left from Vrbove. You might have the clue I am looking for.

Do you know what gres means? The closest Slovak word seems to be egres (pronounced eegresh) it means goose berries.

I am researching my husband's family. In the United States they went by
Gresh. In Slovakia, their name was Gres. The village was Malcov. A
different part of the country, but maybe the spelling will help you.

I am researching the Surnames Madzo and Gresh. I believe the ancestral
village is Vrbove. I have found the name Madzo to be present in Vrbove
today. Any help would be appreciated.
