A question about DNA testing maybe someone can answer for me. Several years ago my brother had reoccurring leukemia, chemo worked for a few years but it came back and his only way for survival was a marrow donation from an exact match. My sister and I were both tested, she matched perfectly, my markers were alike but also either I was missing something they both shared or I had more than what they shared, I know I put the results somewhere but didn't think much about it until this thread about testing. I remember H plus other letters and numbers. Is the same testing for genealogy? Just curious. And if I do find my paper, is there a site where you can check to find out what the markers mean?
      Thanks.............Barbara

She was H. That is a common haplogroup fro Europe, but the closest matches (high resolution) were not from that area.
