If there is a "+" next to the given name it means the person died. Usually when is in the last column of the record you are looking at. From what you have it appears the death was 21 April 1895.

Can someone tell me what it means to have a cross marked under the first name on the 1876 Baptism records with the date 95 April 21 written? Is it a death date? Or a marriage date? Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

      Cathy
