      Hi Joanne:

My name is Katie Tough and I am looking for details of my grand
parents from Slovakia. The names are Vadovic and Kubovic and I believe they
came from Dolna Krupa in the Trnava district. I noticed in your message you
mention a Dobra Voda and I found a town of that name about 15 Km from Dolna
      Krupa.

I am just wondering if you have any source of records for the area or is the
Dobra Voda you are referring to somewhere else.

Both my parents and myself arrived by boat in Montreal Canada in 1938 but my
parents have been deceased for some time now and unfortunately I didn't get
much information from them about my grand parents.

Just wondering if you are looking in the same general area as I am.

      Katie

      Judy,
Off hand I do not know the names but my maternal grandparents both came to
the USA from Osuske which in my research show up as Joko, Dobra Voda and
other various names. I have done extensive research in that area. We are
also planning a trip there in the fall. If you want to contact me personally
by email maybe we can be of help to each other.

Second thought - My grandmother waas Paulina Polacik (Polacek alternative
spelling). She was from Joko (Dobra Voda) and her mother was listed as
Elizabeth Niverisky and her father Stephen Polacik - do these name seem
      familiar to anyone?

      Thanks again
      Judy
