Thank you for your prompt reply! I have been searching
through the Spisske Podhradie microfilms, and it
appears that my ancestors moved from Kolbach to
Spisske Podhradie prior to the 1869 census. I do hope
eventually to take a look at that microfiche anyway
out of interest, and to see what other Antoliks
remained behind, if any. However, as far as I can
tell, for individuals from Kolbach to marry or have
their children baptized in Spisske Podhradie was not
      the norm.

The existence of microfiched parish records from
Kolbach from 1878 onward makes me wonder whether there
could be earlier records that were not microfilmed, or
if 1878 is the date when the local parish from Kolbach
began recording births. The latter seems most likely,
or perhaps earlier records were destroyed for whatever
reason - the FHL is normally very thorough, and so I
suspect that if they don't have it, it simply doesn't
      exist!

At any rate, that reference to the register of
existing church records is a huge help, and will
provide an answer to the question. Thank you so much
for pointing it out to me!

      Many thanks,

      James McGrath
