      Subject: [S-R] Village Help

Going through an old box of papers, I came across a sheet that
someone had written in 1946. It lists my g-grandmothers name, and
said that she was born in 1874 in the village of Siplak. Does anyone
know where this vilage existed, and if there was a name change? I
cannot locate it on any of my maps. Am not sure if this was the
correct spelling for the village, but this is the way it was spelled
on the piece of paper. After she was married, she lived and died in
Zebes (Sebastovce). My g-grandfather was from Zebes (Sebastovce), so
I am assuming that "Siplak" is located somewhere in the Kosice area.

Thanks, again, to all for your help. This is a great list and I
appreciate your willingness to help "amateurs" like myself.

      -Gary
