      Analyst/Consultant
      Job Announcement
      Spring 2004

      Seifel Consulting is seeking a full-time Analyst/Consultant who has
      experience in urban planning, redevelopment, economic/financial analysis
      and
      project management to:
      * Consult with a broad range of clients, including government staff and
      private clients;
      * Write and produce reports, perform research, prepare financial analyses,
      create graphics for reports and presentations, and create and manipulate
      databases;
      * Assist in various aspects of client service delivery.

      In addition to having the above experience and ability, the ideal
      candidate
      is a motivated team player with a good sense of humor who thrives on
      diversity in assignments, intellectual challenge and desires to learn and
      grow in the field.

      Essential Skills, Expertise and Qualities:
      * Knowledge of real estate, planning, and/or redevelopment, including
      terminology and concepts in the field.
      * Understanding of financing concepts, principles and methodologies,
      including cash flow modeling, and an interest in developing and modifying
      mathematical models.
      * Excellent writing and communication skills, including an ability to
      prepare correspondence and reports.
      * Flexibility, initiative, and attention to details.
      * Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word on Mac and PC
      Platforms, as well as Internet research. (Knowledge of database programs,
      graphics software, and GIS is desirable).
      * Two years work experience in real estate economics, redevelopment and/or
      urban planning or a graduate degree in urban planning, public policy,
      public
      administration, real estate, economics or business. Bachelor's degree in
      related field required.
      * Knowledge of or strong interest in California's political and economic
      environment.

      Senior Level Consultant
      Job Announcement

      Seifel Consulting is seeking a full-time Senior Level Consultant who has
      expertise in urban planning, redevelopment, economic/financial analysis
      and
      project management to:
      * Serve as the Project Manager for multiple consulting assignments,
      preparing technical analyses/reports;
      * Manage staff, subcontractors and consulting project budgets/schedules;
      * Actively market the firm's services and participate in the firm's
      business
      management team.

      In addition to having the above experience and ability, the ideal
      candidate
      is a motivated team player with a good sense of humor who thrives on
      diversity in assignments and intellectual challenge.

      Essential Skills, Expertise and Qualities:
      * Experience and understanding in redevelopment, affordable housing,
      planning, and real estate.
      * Solid understanding of financial concepts, principles and methodologies,
      including complex spreadsheet model building and cash flow analysis.
      * Ability to perform complex planning and economic analyses and present
      results in a down to earth manner in written reports and public
      presentations.
      * Excellent writing skills, including preparing comprehensive reports and
      correspondence.
      * Experience working with the public sector and communicating effectively
      with a variety of federal, state and local government officials, private
      firms and community organizations, as well as professional colleagues.
      * Skilled in cultivating and enhancing excellent client relations.
      * Experience in project management: managing consulting contracts, staff,
      schedules and budgets.
      * Experience supervising 2 to 4 employees on a project basis.
      * Experience in marketing, business development, and presentations.
      * Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
      (Knowledge of database programs, graphics software, and GIS is desirable.)
      * At least 5 years work experience in urban planning, redevelopment,
      community development and/or economic/financial analysis
      * Graduate degree in real estate, economics, business, urban planning or
      public policy preferred.
      * Experience in California's political and economic environment preferred.
