      Urbitran Associates, Inc., an established multi-office engineering
      consulting and planning firm is hiring in its public transportation
      services division. We are currently seeking a creative, independent,
      professional Transit Planner to work on projects throughout the country
      with our staff in Oakland. Typical activities include mapping demographic
      characteristics, digitizing transit routes, generating ridership
      projections, performing public outreach, analyzing the productivity of
      transit routes, and writing up findings. This position requires a
      Bachelor's or Master's degree in planning or a related field, computer
      proficiency, and 0 to 2 years of experience. Ideal candidate should have
      experience with Excel, GIS, Word and a graphics program such as
      Illustrator. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.
      Salary is commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits include a
      401(k) plan and tuition reimbursement.
