      The Congress for the New Urbanism is pleased to announce a new student
      design awards program. Submissions are invited of student work at the
      scale of "the block, the street, and the building" and completed for a
      degree in any of the broad range of disciplines that impact the built
      environment. The work can be submitted either by the instructor or by
      the student. Submissions will be judged according to their
      demonstration
      and advancement of the principles of the CNU.  Winning projects will be
      awarded at CNU XII in Chicago this June and either displayed or
      included
      in the 2004 Charter Awards publication. The deadline for submissions is
      February 23, 2004.

      This year's jury members are:
