      Clyde Arbuckle Scholarship

       

       

      The Arbuckle Scholarship was created in recognition of Clyde Arbuckle�s notable contributions to the study and promotion of local and California history.

       

      To be eligible for the $300 award to be given in April 2004, a student must have written an essay on an aspect of Santa Clara County history.  The essay will be submitted by a sponsoring professor or lecturer who will submit a cover letter attesting to the fact that the applicant is an enrolled student at a college or university and that the essay was written in the calendar year 2003 or 2004.

       

      Four hard and one soft copies of the essay, which should be between 1,600 and 4,000 words in length, excluding notes and bibliography, and the accompanying letter of sponsorship should delivered to the History Department office at San Jose State University by March 5, 2004, or mailed and received by that date to the

      The selection of the scholarship winner will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the Sourisseau Academy.  Should there be no worthy candidate in the judgment of the committee, no award need be made.
