Subject: Community Organizer to Reduce Traffic Job Opportunity
I'm pleased to announce that Transportation for a Livable City (TLC) is
hiring a community organizer to promote reduced traffic in downtown San
Francisco. The goal is to protect the Market Street transit corridor from
congestion that will be caused by the thousands of parking spaces that are
slated for construction in the next few years as part of various
commercial and residential development projects within a few blocks of
Market Street downtown. The organizer will do some research and writing to
make the case for reduced parking construction, work with the executive
director and recruited volunteer experts to develop a strategy for public
education, press relations, and lobbying, and recruit and organize
volunteers to implement that strategy.
The job pays up to $1000/month. It's a part-time, contract position.
Please send your letter of interest and resume by Wednesday, Oct. 29, to
Dave Snyder, TLC Executive Director, by email to dave@..., or by email to 1095 Market Street #402, SF CA 94103.
Please circulate this message far and wide.
