Please join Global Green USA and its partner, Non-Profit Housing of Northern California (NPH), for the Greening Affordable Housing Policy Summit, October 23, 2003 at the Summit Center in San Jose, CA.
We will hear from leaders in green building, affordable housing, state legislative affairs and community organizing about ways to make affordable housing truly affordable. We'll identify opportunities for lowering energy bills for low-income families, creating healthier homes, and developing sustainable neighborhoods.
10AM - Opening remarks and "Green Building 101" - background from a leading expert in the field
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM - Panel discussion that includes industry perspectives on green affordable housing and comments from state and local elected officials on what opportunities exist for impacting public policy
12:30pm - California State Treasurer, the Honorable Phil Angelides, will deliver the Keynote Speech focusing on his agency's efforts to promote smart growth and green affordable housing. Seated lunch.
