      Please review enclosed information describing the 2004-2005 Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship.
       
      This Fellowship is a meaningful opportunity for students to enhance their professional status, aid their pursuit of an advanced degree, or finance a special project within the field. The deadline for receipt of applications is January 5, 2004
       
      The Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship - University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, College of Fine and Applied Arts
       
      The University of Illinois announces the 73rd annual competition for the Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship.
       
      The Fellowship is open to graduates in the fields of art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theatre, and urban and regional planning.
       
      Deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, January 5, 2004.
       
      Three major Fellowships will be awarded:
       
      • one of $7,500 in art, architecture, landscape architecture, music, theatre, or urban and regional planning
      • one of $7,500 in art, architecture or music
      • and and additional one in music for $15,000
      • one or two alternate awards of $1,000 each may be granted upon committee recommendation.
      The Fellowships are to be used by the recipients toward defraying the expenses of advanced study in America and abroad.
       
      Fellowships will be awarded upon the basis of unusual promise in the Fine Arts as attested by:
      • high attainment in the applicant's major field of study as evidenced by academic marks and quality of work submitted or performed;
      • high attainment in related cultural fields as evidenced by academic marks;
      • the character, merit and suitability of the program proposed by the applicant; and
      • excellence of personality, seriousness or purpose, and good moral character
       
      Although there is no age limitation for applicants, other factors being equal, preference will be given to applicants who have not reached their twenty-fifth birthday.

        Applications for the 2005-2006 Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship are available.
         
        A $7,500 Fellowship in art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theatre, or urban and regional planning will be awarded.
         
        The Fellowship provides a meaningful opportunity for students to enhance their professional status, aid their pursuit of an advanced degree, or finance a special project within the field. Currently, the Kate Neal Kinley Memorial  Fellowship is partially funded by the John Robert Gregg Fund at Community Funds, Inc.
         
        The deadline for receipt of applications is January 4, 2005.
         
        The Fellowship is open to graduates of the College of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and to graduates of similar institutions of equal educational standing whose principal or major studies have been in the fields or art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theater, and urban and regional planning.
