Zero Waste Youth Convergence - 2014

Organized by youth, for youth, the second annual Zero Waste Youth Convergence will convene on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 from 9am to 4:30pm. Location in progress. Sponsored by the Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA) as part of NCRA’s Zero Waste Week 2014, this event is inspired by young leaders in Brazil, Sweden and the Philippines who have organized previous Zero Waste Youth meetings to collaborate.
ZWYC is a full day dedicated to empowering youth in learning, visioning, organizing and celebrating Zero Waste. WHY? The youth can share the Zero Waste message back to their schools and communities and move towards an environmentally and socially just world.
      The day will feature:
One keynote speaker and several 10-15 minute presentations that focus on updated Zero Waste topics both from the youth and exceptional young leaders in the community. We encourage the youth to participate in breakout activities and ask provoking questions.

Topics include:          Flyer and Preliminary Program in progress.
