The Successor Agency is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for the work primarily on the implementation of the Hunters Point Shipyard/Candlestick Point redevelopment project area, with a secondary focus on the Mission Bay project area, along with other assignments
This person will be responsible for: managing the design review process for new building and park development; representing the Agency's interests in subdivision and infrastructure matters; managing community participation processes including the staffing of Community Advisory Committees; overseeing park management contracts, assisting in the review of environmental (e.g. CEQA and NEPA) documents; assisting in the development and administration of project area budgets; assisting in the implementation of affordable housing obligations and working on a broad range of strategic implementation issues. Matters include overall urban design, park design, transportation issues, streetscape design, architectural review, and project area financial and administrative matters.
This person will work as part of a team, and must coordinate and provide leadership to internal staff, outside city staff, and consultants. This person must be able to work well with both members of the community and private developers. The position requires excellent writing and public presentation skills. This position entails creativity and problem-solving, with the ability to self-direct, multi-task, and to complete assignments by requested due dates. Experience in architectural design review and entitlement approvals for a public agency is desirable, but not required.
Minimum qualifications include two years of direct technical and professional work experience with redevelopment projects and two years of project management experience performing supervisory and managerial functions. Also a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in planning, public or business administration, real estate development, or a related field. A graduate degree in planning, urban redevelopment, land development, business administration or related field may substitute for up two years of experience.
Salary: $91,078.00 - $110,708.00 DOQ
