      Organizational Overview Resource Development Associates is dedicated to helping public and non-profit agencies continually improve their efforts to serve their clients. We support our clients through a variety of services including grant writing, strategic planning, organizational development, and program evaluation. Since its inception in 1984, RDA has been successful in facilitating the development and implementation of a number of the largest and most innovative programs in the nation. These programs have been aimed at improving services and outcomes for public health agencies, youth services, public schools, community corrections, community-based organizations and revitalizing public housing and neighborhood communities.

      Job Description We are seeking an experienced consultant with a background in urban planning and transportation who will:  Support clients in regional transportation planning and customer service;  Identify efficiencies in internal client operational processes;  Work collaboratively with staff and clients to enhance existing operational systems and design and support the implementation of new processes;  Assist in the design and delivery of monitoring and assessment processes;  Develop a data analysis plan, outlining research methodology, analytical questions, sampling and testing information;  Obtain, organize, code, clean and analyze quantitative and qualitative data;  Prepare and conduct quality review of visual presentations of data and narrative reports;  Conduct research on best practices and prepare literature reviews on a broad range of topics and diverse population groups;  Assist in developing position papers and policy analyses;  Demonstrate the capacity to participate in multiple projects concurrently;  Represent RDA to clients and help build and maintain strong consultative relationships;  Help lead a team of staff and consultants;  Prepare and present at internal and external meetings;  Facilitate training for clients and staff.  Organize and conduct focus groups and key informant interviews;  Facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences on behalf of RDA;  Prepare written submissions in response to requests for proposals;  Draft budgets for proposed work or grants.

      Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working within the public sector on a broad range of issue areas and disciplines. This person enjoys fact-finding and research, welcomes opportunities to develop new areas of expertise, and has excellent writing skills, as well as experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse communities. In addition, they will possess the following:  At least three years work experience in governmental or non-profit organizations;  Ability to manage confidential data;  Computer skills including competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access;  Masters or Ph.D. in urban planning, sociology, or related field ideal;  Multi-lingual skills very helpful;  CA driver’s license;  Excellent organization skills, work habits and verbal and written communication skills;  A demonstrated commitment to social and economic justice; and  Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Compensation This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary to be determined individually and dependent upon expertise. The starting salary for this position is between $55,000 - $80,000. Staff salaries are augmented with annual bonuses dependent upon company profitability.
