Seeking an intern for 20+ hours each week to conduct planning and development research. Work with City and County officials on construction and development issues. Requirements- knowledge of zoning and ordinances, must know their way around the planning counter, able to work in a diverse environment, proactive in getting things done.
Experience in law, AutoCAD, architecture a plus. Hands-on opportunity for someone will to learn about development and planning practice in private industry. Term one year. Assistant Planner (Housing): Manteca Redevelopment Agency/City of Manteca
Position Description: Under direction of the Economic Development and Redevelopment Manager, coordinates and administers the Redevelopment Agency�s and City�s low income housing development strategy. Performs professional administrative tasks in the development, implementation and administration of a variety of Agency and City housing programs; develops grant proposals for major housing developments and programs, works with non-profit and for profit housing developers to facilitate affordable housing; and performs other Redevelopment and community revitalization duties as required.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in urban planning or related field and 1 year of experience in planning or related field.
Compensation: $3913 to $4753 per month and generous benefit package.
