PT Paid Internship - MTC - Prosperity Plan Project Support Intern, Oakland
It is currently expected that the person in this position will work 2-3 days (16-24 hours) per week. This position is budgeted to go to May of 2015.
As the project manager's right hand person, you will not only perform routine administrative duties. Your responsibilities will be inextricably tied to the success of the project. You will play an important role in project planning, reporting and risk and issue management. Moreover, you will log, manage and analyze information on the progress of the project using Excel and other databases. For the most part, you will be responsible for monitoring project schedules and project budgets, preparing project progress reports, and liaising with key stakeholders.

Intern will be in a graduate degree program, majoring in transportation planning, public policy/administration, or other related field.
MTC is seeking someone with relational database and spreadsheet experience, specifically using Access and Excel Microsoft Office skills are required, especially excel. Candidate must:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Anticipated tasks with direction from the Program Manager may include but are not limited to:
Receiving and processing all invoices and procurement requests from sub-grantees, consultants, and working groups.
Coordinating with project managers on monthly invoices and reporting requirements.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Compiling HUD forms for review and approval by planning staff. This task includes managing the submitted deliverables through HUD's Grant Management System and submitting forms through HUD's eLOCCS system.
Monitoring all grant agreements and contracts for compliance with HUD pass-through provisions, and following up with grantees and consultants on any compliance issues.
Coordinating with MTC's Finance staff on the monthly submission of invoices to HUD.
