      Just saw this announcement on SF's jobs board:


      "The Student Planning Trainees will provide support to Port planning & development staff currently working on a variety of projects that implement the Port's Waterfront Land Use Plan. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: conduct research, prepare graphics for planning & development projects, develop and maintain GIS based databases; prepare materials for public meetings and community outreach; architectural drafting, assist in the evaluation of projects for consistency with Port design policies and the secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, assist in facilitating and providing support for public meetings; writing tasks, and assist in developing and maintaining the Port's web site."

      Applicants must be currently enrolled in college with at least 4 semesters of related courses (e.g. planning or architecture) and returning to their program in the fall.
