      Corridor Manager - Portola Neighborhood Association (PNA)
      The Portola Neighborhood Association (PNA) is comprised of committed neighborhood leaders, residents and merchants. Our mission is to revitalize the Portola by increasing cleanliness, working with property owners to fill vacancies, providing support to existing merchants, promoting the shopping district, and attracting resources for physical improvements. Our goal is to build community pride through organizing special events, collaborating with other community groups and creating new projects to invigorate the commercial corridor. The San Bruno Avenue commercial corridor is San Bruno Avenue from Silver Avenue to Mansell Street.
      Position Summary
      The PNA is seeking a full-time Corridor Manager who will be responsible for managing the commercial revitalization of San Bruno Avenue. Activities include working with community partners to strengthen the physical, social, and economic character of the neighborhood by improving safety and cleanliness, coordinating beautification projects, managing capital projects, developing programmatic goals and measurements, attracting and retaining business, creating jobs, planning community events, and marketing and promotion of the district. The Corridor Manager works closely with the Steering Committee to develop the annual action plan and identify volunteers and partners to implement activities in the plan.
      Position Responsibilities

      Implement Commercial Corridor Action Plan with a variety of activities in the areas of economic development (small business development, business attraction, and property owner support), safety/crime prevention, beautification & design, and marketing
      Serve as the PNA's representative to property owners, merchants, residents, community members, and other key stakeholders
      Develop and maintain relationships with private and public funding sources, community organizations, community members, public stakeholders, City agencies, elected officials and the media
      Work with Steering Committee leadership and sub-committees to facilitate projects and create organizational partnerships within the community
      Fundraise and assist with fundraising for collaborative and individual projects
      Manage day to day operations and work with fiscal sponsor to manage organizational budget and oversee contracts, invoices, payments and finances
      Prepare and publish regular communication materials to disseminate information about the about the PNA's programs and activities
      Maintain outcome tracking database of businesses attracted, jobs created and public/private funds leveraged
      Required Qualifications

      Minimum of 3 years of work experience and a Bachelor or Masters Degree in community/economic development, city planning or related field
      Experience working with a Steering Committee and volunteers
      Ability to inspire, lead and work as a member of a team as well as ability to work independently
      Experience effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines
      Excellent written and oral communication skills, including concise writing for media publications and the general public, and public speaking skills
      Experience writing and managing City grants, foundation grants and contracts
      Working knowledge of fiscal management and budgeting
      Proven ability to outreach to and work successfully with diverse communities
      Ability to use social media to outreach to diverse communities
      Desired Qualifications

      Bilingual, Spanish and/or Cantonese speaking highly preferred but not required
