      Job Description

      North State Resources, Inc. (NSR) is currently seeking a highly motivated
      Environmental Analyst / Planner to be a part of our interdisciplinary team
      of environmental consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible
      for assisting public agency and private clients with environmental planning
      and compliance activities; conducting data research and analyses;
      conducting general site surveys; compiling and analyzing technical
      information to support evidence-based environmental impact analyses;
      developing substantial sections of environmental documents, including those
      required by NEPA and CEQA; and assisting with a variety of other projects,
      including permit applications, natural systems management and restoration
      plans, technical background studies, environmental constraints analyses,
      and planning documents.
      The position requires demonstrated capabilities in technical analysis and
      problem-solving in the context of environmental consulting. NSR expects
      that the person in this position will interact productively with fellow
      workers, clients, and subconsultants, as well as assist with proposal
      writing and marketing efforts. Motivated and accomplished analysts /
      planners will have the opportunity to manage their own projects.
      Desired Skills & Experience

      Desired Education and Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's or
      Master's degree in environmental planning, urban planning, geography, the
      biological or physical sciences, or a related field; and a minimum of three
      years of progressively responsible experience in environmental planning.
      Excellent writing, oral communication, and computer skills are required.
      Candidates should be able to demonstrate an active interest in current
      environmental planning issues; affiliations with relevant professional
      organizations are a plus. The successful candidate will have the best
      combination of skills and experience from at least some of the following
      areas: NEPA and CEQA compliance, environmental regulation analysis and
      assistance, permitting, land use entitlement permit applications,
      plan-making, GIS development and analyses, local or regional agency
      planning, public involvement and outreach, meeting facilitation, and
      project management.
