      *ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT*
      The Department of Public Works is responsible for delivering capital
      improvement projects for a wide variety of City facilities and
      infrastructure, maintaining City facilities and fleet assets, facilitating
      and regulating development activities, and providing animal care and

      *WHY WITH US?*
      The Department of Public Works is looking for a student in Computer Science
      or GIS courses that is willing to work on a student project to develop an
      interactive map for viewing Capital Improvement Projects. You will gain
      practical experience and exposure by developing applications that support
      the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team.

      *POSITION DESCRIPTION & DUTIES*
      � Creating services-driven web applications using Python
      � Experience creating database-driven web applications
      � Familiarity with Google Map and ArcGIS Online APIs
      � JavaScript and DOJO coding experience and debugging skills helpful
      � Experience with traditional GIS systems (e.g., Esri) is desirable
      � Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a small team
