Please join us for a discussion on the emergence of modular
construction in the multi-family space around the Bay Area along with a
hard hat tour of one of the largest urban modular projects currently in
development on the West Coast. The subject property is Domain at 1 Vista Montana in San Jose, which is being developed in a joint venture
between Equity Residential and Northwestern Mutual.
The focus of the discussion will center around three areas. First,
there will be a brief overview of the South Bay multi-family market with an emphasis on the hot area of North San Jose. Panelists will then
discuss the history, design and entitlement process for Vista Montana,
explaining how this burgeoning construction method differs from
conventional site built product. Lastly, there will be a hard hat tour
of the construction site with opportunities to discuss an assortment of
perspectives on the pros, cons, benefits, and risks of modular
construction on a large scale in the residential sector.
Speakers will include representatives from Equity Residential, Douglas Ross Construction, Northwestern Mutual, along with Lad Dawson, CEO of Guerdon Enterprises one of the largest modular contractors in the country.
After the discussion and tour, members and guests are invited to a
Happy Hour and networking opportunity at JP’s Pizza located in the
@First retail center across the street at 4190 North First Street.
