      This is a quick turn-around we appreciate your passing the information on
      to interested parties immediately.

      The person in this position will work under the general supervision of a
      Senior Program Coordinator, and will act as support staff for the
      management and operation of the Service Authority for Freeways and
      Expressways (SAFE) program, which includes the Call Box and Freeway Service
      Patrol (FSP) programs. The SAFE program includes the operation of over
      2,100 call boxes and 77 roving tow trucks on the Bay Area's highways with a
      total budget of approximately $15 million annually. The majority of the
      work will include responsibilities in support of the FSP program. The
      individual will:

      .Assist with the successful implementation of the FSP program.
      .Manage the tow truck fleet monitoring system.
      .Invoice preparation for the FSP tow contracts.
      .Management of the FSP incentive program.
      .Coordination of supplies and inventory management.
      .Coordinate with partners that support the Freeway Service Patrol program.

      To be considered for this position applicant must have a:

      - BA/BS in a discipline such as urban planning, transportation planning
      or engineering, public administration, or information systems. (Applicants
      with a degree issued from an institution outside the United States must
      have their transcripts evaluated by an academic accrediting service and
      provide proof of equivalency by attaching the document to this

      - Minimum of six months of recent experience, in a field related to the
      position. (One year of graduate work in a discipline directly related to
      the position may be substituted for job experience.) Knowledge of computer
      applications related to complex databases and spreadsheets; GIS concepts
      principles of transportation operations, planning, funding, and
      programming; procurement and/or contract management are desirable.
