      This brownbag program will discuss the numerous public funding
      sources available to help communities create leverage that stimulates
      private investment in transit oriented development and other forms of
      sustainable development. Programs on the state and regional level uch
      as Transportation for Liveable Communities Grants, OneBay Area Grants,
      Strategic Growth Council Planning Grants, and Urban Greening Grants,
      as well as a variety of federal transit-land use initiatives, are
      vital sources that make sustainable development projects possible.
      This workshop describes the scope of and how to access these funding
      sources. Each panelist brings extensive experience assisting public
      agencies obtain the funds making private investment in sustainable
      development possible. Come and find out how your community or your
      project can take advantage of these funding sources.
