      Architecture for Humanity
      Design Fellow: San Francisco

      Program Background: The Design Fellow will work at Architecture for
      Humanity Headquarters and will help manage Project Green (Space), a
      U.S.-based sustainable schools grant and social innovation challenge
      geared towards teenage students. This is a great opportunity to work
      with schools and students, funders and implementing partners, and
      architects on small- to medium-scale green building projects with
      substantial domestic exposure.

      Responsibilities: above all, provide inspiration and vision to student
      participants manage the day-to-day operations of the program leverage
      graphic design and creative expertise to develop the image and
      presence of the program, including website, brand and outreach
      collateral work directly with and assist program staff help to develop
      and execute stakeholder engagement strategy, including the use of
      social media, web and phone applications, and other avenues help to
      manage relationships with program jury members, including high profile
      partners develop ways to engage the Architecture for Humanity Chapter
      Network with opportunities for student mentorship and local
      participation in green design provide administrative support for
      invoicing, cost reporting, meeting coordination and other tasks help
      to make timely progress reports to Architecture for Humanity, clients,
      partners and funders document the project’s progress on the program
      website, social media, and the Worldchanging / Open Architecture
      Network with weekly updates meet with potential funders, partners and
      members of the press perform scope of work in accordance with
      Architecture for Humanity’s obligations work to secure in-kind
      donations as necessary perform other related tasks as necessary.

      Experience and skills: The ideal candidate will be dynamic, creative,
      hardworking and fun have 3-5 years of professional experience,
      including relevant internship and volunteer experience be familiar
      with sustainable design and comfortable working with design documents
      have experience with direct youth engagement and/or online organzing
      have strong graphic design skills and basic fluency in HTML be a
      strong written, visual and verbal communicator be excited to work with
      social media, web and phone applications have great project management
      skills be able to work independently have a strong commitment to
      humanitarian design and social justice

      Commitment: Full-time (40hours/week)

      Contract Period: 3 months, with possibility for a 3-6 month extension.

      Stipend: $2,000 per month.
