Position Description: This is the supervisory class of the Planner job
series. An incumbent in this position plans, organizes, assigns and
supervises the work of professional and paraprofessional staff in the
current Planning Division of the Conservation, Development and
Planning Department. The incumbent also coordinates the flow of the
Planning Commission/Board of Supervisors agenda items; and manages
complex current planning projects under the direction of the Deputy
Planning Director and Director of Conservation, Planning and
Experience and Education:
Four years of increasingly responsible professional planning
experience of which two years was served in a supervisory capacity.
Graduation from a four year accredited college or university with a
degree in city, county or regional land use planning or related field.
A Master’s degree in city or regional planning or a related filed is
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California State Driver’s license.
