Project Director - Bus Rapid Transit
      Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District
Location: Oakland, California, 94612, United States

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (“the District”) is a
special district, organized under the laws of California that provides
public transit service to approximately 200,000 riders daily with a
fleet of over 600 buses. The District’s service area extends from
western Contra Costa County to southern Alameda County. The District
has approximately 2,100 employees, and is financed through the receipt
of transit fares, sales and property taxes, bridge tolls, and state
      and federal funding.

The District is undertaking the most expensive and complex capital
project in its history: implementation of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
route that includes dedicated bus lanes, rail-like transit stations,
passenger amenities, traffic signal priority and real time
information. Currently estimated at over $200 million, the project
spans two cities (Oakland and San Leandro) within Alameda County on
Telegraph Avenue and State Route 185--International Boulevard/E. 14th
Street, which is partially governed by Caltrans. As such,
jurisdictional coordination is a key factor in implementing the
project. The BRT project is the only federal New Starts project with
an overall High rating and has received funding from a variety of
local, regional and federal sources. It is also in both the Alameda
Countywide Plan and the Regional Transportation Plan.

The District is seeking talented Project Managers to serve as the
Project Director - Bus Rapid Transit with proven experience in
large-scale roadway projects or related investments who have a
facility with communicating and working with local partners, agency
staff, federal funding agencies and consultant staff.
