About the Symposium:
The 19th International Symposium on Transportation and Traffic Theory
(ISTTT) will be hosted by the University of California, Berkeley from
July 18 to July 20, 2011. The Symposium will be held at the Claremont
Hotel, located near the Berkeley campus.
The ISTTT series is the premier gathering for the world's leading
transportation and traffic theorists, and for those who are interested
in contributing to or gaining a deeper understanding of the field.
The Symposium will feature a very select cohort of papers from around
the world that were chosen from a multi-stage peer-review process.
These will be presented in plenary sessions. The preliminary program
is now available for download from the symposium website.
About the Student Fellowships:
We are pleased to announce that funds have been obtained to assist
advanced graduate students with the cost of attending the symposium.
These funds will be used to waive the registration fee. Only graduate
students who are currently enrolled in an academic program are
eligible. Preference will be given to students who are members of
groups that have historically been under-represented in science and
engineering. Recipients of this award will be selected by a
subcommittee comprised of the symposium organizers and members of the
ISTTT19 US Organizing Committee. Our intent is to begin making awards
on May 13, 2011. Awards may be made thereafter if funds remain
available. To compete for these student fellowships, please visit our
symposium website for application instructions.
