      Description: The Portola Neighborhood Steering Committee (PNSC) is
      seeking a Program Manager to work at least half, but up to full time.
      The Program Manager is responsible for implementing a comprehensive
      economic development program in San Francisco’s Portola District. This
      work is guided by an action plan that is a working blueprint of a
      comprehensive and community-led effort to revitalize the San Bruno
      Avenue commercial corridor. The action plan includes activities of the
      PNSC and partners to strengthen the physical, social, and economic
      character of the neighborhood by improving safety and cleanliness,
      coordinating beautification projects, recruiting businesses to fill
      vacant retail space, planning community events, and promoting the
      district within the neighborhood and beyond. The Program Manager will
      work closely within the community to develop the action plan annually,
      and identify volunteers and partners to implement activities in the
      plan.
      The Program Manager is the key staff member to lead and provide
      support to the PNSC, a group of committed neighborhood leaders,
      residents and merchants. In addition to implementing the action plan,
      the Program Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships
      with merchants and residents, recruiting and managing volunteers,
      preparing program materials such as flyers and quarterly newsletters,
      and identifying resources – volunteers and funding – to implement
      additional activities. The PNSC is a project of Community Initiatives
      and is funded by Bay Area Local Initiatives Support Corporation and
      the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
