      Job Title: Housing Development Project Assistant

      Description: The member at Resources for Community Development will
      serve as a Housing Development Project Assistant. The member serving
      in this capacity will be responsible for:
      The member at RCD will serve as a Housing Development Project
      Assistant. The AmeriCorps Member will have an excellent opportunity to
      gain hands on experience with all aspects of affordable housing
      development, project and asset management in a collaborative and
      supportive environment.

      Under the direction of the Housing Development Director, the
      AmeriCorps Member will have the following responsibilities:

      Work closely with Project Managers to assist their housing development
      work including:
      • assisting with construction oversight,
      • administering a green post-occupancy survey and analyzing collected data,
      • writing and assembling funding applications,
      • assisting the development of and implementing community outreach and
      community acceptance strategies,
      • developing graphics and narrative for outreach activities such as
      presentation boards, flyers, project summaries, etc., and
      • researching planning, zoning and other entitlements
      Travel Requirements: The AmeriCorps Member may be required to visit
      RCD properties to collect information, coordinating with property
      management companies and occasionally working with tenants and on-site
      staff and must have a valid California driver’s license.

      Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position,
      the AmeriCorps Member is required to work in an office environment,
      which will require regular use of a telephone, computer keyboard,
      mouse, and calculator, sitting, standing walking, and lifting and/or
      moving up to 15 pounds.
