World-renowned planner will discuss groundbreaking new book
RSVP now for the special January 27 TransForum - it will likely sell out!
Who: Peter Calthorpe, named an “innovator on the cutting edge” by
Newsweek for his work redefining how urban and suburban growth happens
What: Calthorpe will discuss his new book, Urbanism in the Age of
Climate Change and talk about his groundbreaking work creating a
vision for how California can accommodate an unprecedented likely
population boom over the next 40 years.
Calthorpe’s book shows how we can successfully fight climate change by
combining smart growth with conservation and new technology, plus
achieve many other economic and lifestyle benefits.
Peter will sign books at the end of the talk while guests network over
snacks and drinks. Copies of the book will be available for sale.
When: Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Where: SPUR Urban Center, 654 Mission Street, San Francisco.
Cost: $15, or free for TransForm supporters at the $40+ level.
