      UC Davis Extension
      Co-Director, Land Use & Natural Resources

      UC Davis Extension is the continuing education branch of UC Davis, and
      a self-supporting division within the University. The Land Use and
      Natural Resources Program (LUNR) is a $1.5 million Extension program
      with over 3,000 enrollments annually in a wide variety of fields
      including planning and environmental law and policy, water resources,
      land use and urban design, green building and sustainability,
      transportation, GIS, natural resources management and other topics.
      LUNR incorporates an open enrollment program with 4 professional
      certificates, as well as contract training and education for State and
      local agencies, and private and NGO organizations. LUNR is seeking an
      academic position to serve as Co-Director for the Land Use and Natural
      Resources unit.

      Responsibilities of the Position: The Academic Coordinator will
      oversee all functions of the Land Use and Natural Resources Program
      ($1-2 million portfolio), as well as play a major role in the
      Sustainability Studies inter-departmental program ($750,000
      portfolio). The position will be responsible for managing LUNR staff,
      identifying professional audiences and their educational needs,
      identifying instructors and courses, developing educational programs
      to meet the needs of professionals, developing distance learning
      programs, managing on-going academic programs, marketing programs,
      budget development and oversight, and personnel management.

      Requirements: University degree in urban planning; environmental law,
      planning, or design; natural resources management; public
      administration or policy; sustainability studies or related field.
      Master’s degree preferred. 6-10 years of increasingly responsible
      experience managing university, non-profit, governmental or private
      organizations that address issues of land use, public policy, natural
      resources, environment, sustainability, government, transportation,
      and related topics. Experience managing staff; and experience
      marketing programs required. Experience developing and delivering
      professional and continuing training or educational programs
      preferred.

      Employment Status & Salary: The annual salary range is $58,224
      –$113,436. Salary level will commensurate with the experience and
      qualifications of the successful candidate.
