      From Joseph Kerski at ESRI:

Applications are now being accepted for Esri's Summer Internship Program and
the Esri UC Student Assistantship Program. Details are available at
      http://www.esri.com/careers/category/summer-programs.html . Both programs
provide great work experience as well as opportunities to network with
professional GIS users and explore career options.

Internships are paid positions at Esri headquarters in Redlands, CA and a
few of the Esri Regional Offices. Internships are open to both
undergraduate and graduate students. Positions are available in a variety
of areas, including Product Development, Professional Services, Educational
Services/Training, Marketing, and Technical Support. Positions are
generally 12 weeks long, starting between May and July, depending on the
student's schedule and hiring team's needs. Deadline to apply is March 18,
      2011.

The UC Assistantship Program provides students an opportunity to participate
in the International User Conference in San Diego, July 11-15, 2011.
Students work part of the time, and have time to attend sessions and network
with conference attendees. Esri provides conference registration and
lodging (students pay for their own travel to San Diego). This program is
open to graduate students and 4th year undergraduate students attending a
college/university in the U.S. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2011.
