      Save the dates for three more cutting-edge research webinars for
      transportation professionals: September 15, October 13, and November 17.

      The new season starts on September 15 with three speakers on "Efficient
      Management of Road Construction & Operations," including the following
      presentations:
      - "Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Sweeper Operation Evaluation" by Maged
      Dessouky
      - "Revisiting the Estimation of Highway Maintenance Marginal Costs" by
      Samer Madanat
      - "System-wide Ramp Metering as a Policy Tool to Induce Efficient Travel
      in a Freeway Corridor" by Michael Zhang

      In October, we continue with a webinar themed "Encouraging Sustainable
      Travel, Part II", including the following presentations:
      - "How Do We Get More People Bicycling? Evidence from the Davis Bicycle
      Studies" by Susan Handy
      - "Are TODs Over-Parked?" by Robert Cervero
      - "City Adoption of Environmentally Sustainable Policies in California's
      Central Valley" by Mark Lubell

      The season will conclude in November with a "Equity Considerations in
      Transportation" webinar from the following presentations:
      - "Equity Analysis of Land Use and Transport Plans Using an Integrated
      Spatial Model" by Caroline Rodier
      - "Travel Behavior among Latino Immigrants: The Role of Ethnic
      Neighborhoods and Ethnic Employment" by Gary Painter
      - Third speaker TBD

      Each webinar takes place on a Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM, is offered
      free of charge, and can be viewed in-person or online. Interactive Q+A

      Caltrans Division of Research and Innovation is offering a satellite
