      Description: The City of Sausalito Community Development Department is
      looking for a planning intern to assist the Planning Division. This
      program will run during the spring 2010 and will be unpaid.

      The Planning Division is seeking a college student who is a junior or
      above that is working towards their B.A. or B.S. degree. Students who are
      studying and interested in planning, environmental studies, geography and
      other similar social sciences are encouraged to apply.

      Duties: An intern for the Planning Division will be involved with some of
      the following tasks and subjects: code enforcement, permit tracking, the
      City’s Housing Element, Marinship land use compliance, and other land use
      related issues.

      Required skills and qualifications: Qualified candidates are dedicated and
      can make progress on several tasks concurrently. The applicant should have
      strong communication skills, be proficient with computers, and be
      knowledgeable on basic land use planning and development regulations.
