      Job Title: Sustainable Economic Analyst

      Description: The selected candidate will join the Sustainable Development
      group, part of EDAW?s global Spatial Planning and Economic Development
      Practice Line. The primary emphasis of the group is to promote
      socioeconomic and environmental sustainability in urban design, city
      planning, and policy projects. This is accomplished through employing
      rigorous economic techniques and developing innovative analytical
      approaches to providing solutions for delivering sustainability in varied
      domestic and international contexts.

      Qualified candidates will have excellent analytical and writing skills
      with education and/or professional background in sustainability planning,
      urban and real estate economics, urban planning, or policy
      modeling/design. The candidate must also have a demonstrated interest in
      sustainability, with a particular emphasis on quantitative analytical
      approaches to developing innovative solutions to complex challenges facing
      cities.

      Education and Skill Requirements:

      Candidates must have a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or
      university with a major in urban planning, sustainable design,
      environmental economics and management, or a related field related to
      sustainability planning (highly qualified candidates could have a Master?s
      degree in a related field).
      Demonstrated interest and knowledge of the principles and practices of
      sustainability planning with an emphasis on urban regeneration, green
      development economics, and land-use/environmental policy design. Relevant
      experience in related fields advantageous.
      Excellent quantitative skills; experience with financial and economic
      modeling desirable.
      Detail-oriented: Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more
      and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline driven team environment.
      Excellent communication and writing skills are critical.
      Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite imperative; experience with other
      quantitative/statistical programs such as SAS, SPSS desirable.

      Development projections and carbon emissions modeling
      Pro forma and feasibility analysis for urban redevelopment
      Socioeconomic analysis for environmental impact report
      Fiscal impact analysis for transit village
      Affordable housing policy analysis
