Research position for SJSU graduate student -- study on airports in CA

A graduate student research assistant position at SJSU is open on a
project to study the Development of Secondary Airports in California. The
project is funded through the Mineta Transportation Institute at San Jose
The major role of the research assistant will involve assisting in the
literature review and collecting data on case studies for the topic from
the library and other electronic and print media. The research assistant
will be required to help draft relevant sections of the final report. The
research assistant may be assigned additional tasks depending on their
background and experience. Additional tasks may include developing a
policy guidance framework and strategies to develop secondary airports,
and maintaining communication with the sponsoring agency through progress
Requirements: Graduate students pursuing degrees related to aviation,
transportation engineering, policy, planning and economics are preferred.
In addition students with an interest in the related research topic and
strong writing skills are encouraged to apply.
The pay rate is $15 per hour, and the graduate student in this position
expected to work for about 380 hours for this project within one year.
