      Earth Day Volunteer Opportunity
Discuss energy efficiency! Hand out CFL bulbs to Cisco Employees

      Volunteers Needed
You may know that CFLs use 80% less energy than regular light bulbs, reducing greenhouse gas emissions significantly. But did you know that CFLs have been installed in less than 25% of the light sockets in California ’s homes?

Please volunteer to help distribute energy efficient compact fluorescent lights, and information about how to properly recycle used CFLs, to more than 5,000 people at Cisco’s San Jose Earth Day Event on Tuesday, April 22.

Volunteers are needed in three shifts:
      –         9 am – 11:30 am
      –         11:30 am – 2 pm, and
      –         2 – 5 pm

To volunteer, please email your name, email, and phone number to:
      Barry Hooper
      Green Building Program Coordinator
Please volunteer by 12 pm on Thursday April 17 in order to ensure your name is registered with event security.

CFLs for the City booth are being provided courtesy of Silicon Valley Energy Watch, a partnership between Pacific Gas & Electric and the City of San Jose .

      Free T-shirts may be available.
