Earth Day at San José  City Hall
Come celebrate Earth Day at San José City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. Enjoy a farmer’s market, food vendors, live entertainment, and a marketplace of environmental ideas where you can learn how to “green” your lifestyle. Find out about San José’s Green Vision goals and how you can help the City achieve them through recycling, composting, using alternative transportation, conserving water, being energy efficient and through green building. Take the Green Vision Pledge to reduce your energy use, your water use and to recycle and we'll give you a bright GREEN re-usable grocery bag with the Green Vision logo.

Falcon fans will have a chance to view the peregrine falcons nesting atop City Hall. Mayor Chuck Reed will take part in an Earth Day Bike Ride, starting at 11:30 a.m. that concludes at the Plaza during the Earth Day event. There’s a walking tour of downtown at 12:30 and an Adobe Green Building Tour at 1:30. Contact Shayna Hirshfield regarding reservations, shayna.hirshfield@... . City Hall Plaza is located at 200 E. Santa Clara Street in San José. In the spirit of Earth Day, please take mass transit, bike or car pool to the event.
