      James M. Moore is currently a contract Associate Planner with the City of Fremont . He has also worked as a Senior Planner for the County of Maui, Hawaii, up-dating the County's General Plan; Senior Associate with the Berkeley consulting firm - Design, Community & Environment, Inc. (DC&E) - where one of his duties was working with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's (MTC) Corridor Working Group on BART and Ferry TOD strategies; and several years ago was Director of Advisory Services for the nationally recognized non-profit organization known as the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU) which specializes in strategies for "smart growth".  In addition, he has run his own consulting business, taught urban design studios at the University of Southern California School of Policy, Planning and Development for ten years, and has served as a Planning Commissioner for the City of Sausalito where he has resided for the last fourteen years.
