      Sequence Staffing has been hired to recruit for a Southern California
      environmental consulting firm seeking a Senior Project Manager or
      Practice/ Section Group Leader to help head up their Environmental
      Services Practice.

      The firm, one of the states largest privately held pure environmental
      consulting firms with 12 offices throughout the western United
      States, primarily provides environmental studies (EIR/EIS),
      biological, regulatory compliance, environmental planning and natural
      resources services.

      As one of the wests older and more established firms, their operation
      has achieved significant success and grown steadily through organic
      expansion; adding a number of high profile clients and projects in
      recent years.

      With this growth has come the need to continuously build internal
      resources and technical skill set. To that end, they are now in
      search of a very talented, seasoned project manager / executive to
      lead technical staff, drive strategic initiatives and help pilot the
      growth of the organizations environmental services group.

      Primarily, this would include focus on management and oversight of
      EIR and EIS related initiatives for the entire organization with
      creation of technically excellent environmental studies. An integrity
      based company, the firm is driven to create scientific documentation
      that not only is legally defensible but sets a standard for quality
      in the industry.

      As a bit of background, the organization has maintained itself over
      the years with a reputation for producing very high quality technical
      work which has resulted in establishment of a healthy mixture of both
      private and public sector clients. Because the company is very
      stable, they have always had the opportunity to go after and be
      involved with interesting and innovative projects.

      Growing organically with organizational structure based on shared
      firm-wide resources and not profit centers, the company expands
      through aggressive business development and recruitment of
      individuals into the structure who become invested in the firm. Key
      to the firms continued success is assessment of transition planning
      for internal posts and on-going development of the next generation of
      company leadership under current management.

      With this in mind, they are seeking to find a senior individual to
      come into the organization and who could serve both as a project
      manager and hold group leadership responsibilities, someone that
      could eventually progress upwards within the structure to take on a
      key role within the firm. The right person would be extremely capable
      and able to supervise / conduct technical work as well as continue to
      help build a successful practice. So beyond technical excellence,
      they would be expected to be able to handled complex client
      relationships, have a well defined interaction and negotiation skill
      set, mentor junior staff, cross sell and conduct business development
      activities as necessary. Key to upward progression would be the
      ability to managing technical staff and helping to lead business
      development and strategic activities.

      Ideally, we are seeking an individual with proven ability to
      management concurrent multidisciplinary projects with a minimum of 8
      years hands on experience in preparation and management of CEQA
      and/or NEPA documentation. Desired educational background would
      generally include degrees in environmental science, planning or
      related field.

      A flexible firm they are geared to take into the organization a
      dynamic and talented project manager. They would also custom build an
      opportunity for a more senior executive that was looking to find a
      home and drive the growth of their environmental services group.

      As a side note, as the company is larger and entrepreneurial they
      could structure an opportunity / position to absorb an individual
      that had business in hand or merge into their organization a small
      private consulting practice.

      The company has a strong benefits (health / dental / medical, 401k,

      The position would be based in Orange County, California, but the
      organization would be willing to relocate the right person to the
      area from anywhere in the state.
